Monty Python HG Deleted Animation Introduced by Terry Gilliam

HG Alternate titleA new Youtube video has been released of deleted animation from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and is (rather sarcastically and “crankily”) introduced by Terry Gilliam.

Gilliam was the animator for Python and more specifically for Holy Grail. He was also the only American of the original troupe of six.

The video shows some of the original animation interspersed with the deleted animation while Gilliam talks about the bits and their significance. Then all of the bits are played with the accompanying dialog, sound effects, and music (by Neil Innes).

Here is your opportunity to see the deleted animation scenes before they are released not he special 40th Anniversary Blu-Ray Edition of Monty Python and the Holy Grail to be released October 27, 2015.

We can’t wait, we need another copy of HG. As a kid I saw this film in the theater maybe 25 times (thanks to some friends whose parents owned the theater) and then sat up at midnight to record it on cassette tape from TV, to then transcribe it. Yes, I am one of those….Run Away!
