Okay everyone, get your minds out of the gutter! While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has made no mention at all of any type of sex life that Captain America may, or may not, have had (unlike Tony Stark), Chris Evans has clearly stated that Cap is something of a tragic hero in that he has never had a real love life.
As Chris Evans explained, “Captain America, this is not a guy who knows what love feels like. He wants it, he thinks about it, he knows there’s something missing, but it’s not that he’s ever tasted it.”
It could be for this reason that Evans has chosen to move into “softer” films, when he’s not tossing his trademark shield at the bad guys, such as the romantic-comedy Before We Go which marks his debut as a director, and which he will also star in opposite Alice Eve from Star Trek Into Darkness.
Picking up where Avengers: Age Of Ultron left off, Captain America forms and leads a new Avengers team all in an attempt to protect and save humanity from threats at all sides. After an incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, the government tries to institute a system of accountability whereby all superheroes must be registered as well as determining when to call upon the services of those heroes. This splits the Avengers down the middle, all the while trying to defend the planet from a “new and nefarious villain.”
Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters May 6, 2016.
