It is time to Usher in a New Season of Fear in San Diego according to Horrible Imaginings Film Fest founder, Miguel Rodriguez. This will be their sixth year showcasing art and film that explores the darker or more macabre side of the human condition. Since the founding year of 2010 the festival has been seen at various venues in San Diego. This year they move to the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) in Historic Balboa Park.
The program is packed with something for every appetite. When the Two Gay Geeks interviewed Miguel Rodriguez (Episode 27) we learned about his general approach to horror and film festivals. Miguel doesn’t just throw a bunch of short films and movies together and call it a film festival. He gives a lot of thought and consideration to each of the films and presentations on the festival program. Each film and presentation is carefully selected and curated for the benefit of the audience, both inside AND outside of the horror fan community. If you wish to know more about Miguel’s philosophy on film festivals, check out our interview with him here.
Horrible Imaginings Film Fest will be held September 11 – 13, 2015
