Comicbookresources.com has announced the title for the eagerly awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2012 sci-fi drama Prometheus, and the director has revealed that it is Alien: Paradise Lost.
“You know the poem?” the filmmaker asked interviewer from HeyUGuys, referring to John Milton’s famous work. “I’m sure you’ve never been through it, the poem’s a book, ‘Paradise Lost.’ It sounds intellectual, but there’s a similarity to it. That’s where it stops.”
Word of the title follows quickly on the heels of news that Scott envisions three sequels to Prometheus, with the last tying into his 1979 classic Alien.
Starring Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, lien: Paradise Lost is expected to begin production early next year.
