Peter Capaldi And His Reasons For Becoming ‘Doctor Who’
In the clip, King asks Capaldi why he accepted the role of the Doctor.
“When I was a little kid, my favorite show was Doctor Who,” Capaldi answers. “And I used to write to the actor who played Doctor Who, and he changed I few times when I was young, but they’d send me back autographed pictures, and I thought the show was the most amazing thing.”
Capaldi goes on to describe a time that he was sent a script from an upcoming episode of the show – unthinkable in today’s television climate – and how that script inspired him to become an actor.
Doctor Who airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
