Ron Perlman Cast in Potter Spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts’
In an exclusive to THR, Ron Perlman (Hellboy) has been the latest to join the cast of J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a spinoff set in the same fantasy universe as the Harry Potter series.
Eddie Redmayne (Jupiter Rising) is starring in the movie as Newt Scamander, a preeminent magizoologist whose adventures become text book material for the students at Hogwarts School Of Magic. Also cast in the movie are Gemma Chan (Humans), Carmen Ejogo (Selma), Jon Voigt as well as Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Dan Fogler and Samantha Morton.
Plot details were not revealed, but sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Perlman will play a goblin.
