ComicBookResources.com has reported that Transparent star Amy Landecker has joined Marvel’s Doctor Strange in an unknown role (via The Wrap). Details about her role in the film are being kept under wraps at this time.
In addition to her recurring role on “Transparent,” Landecker’s past credits also include “Louie,” “Dan in Real Life” and “Revenge.”
The film will tell the origin story of Doctor Stephen Strange, an arrogant surgeon who lost the use of his hands in an accident. The tragedy drives Strange to explore the mystic arts, leading him to become the Marvel Universe’s Sorcerer Supreme. As Sorcerer Supreme, he battles dark mystical forces in order to keep the world safe.
Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwitel Ejiofor and more, “Doctor Strange” opens on November 4, 2016.
