Jonah Hex Will Appear On “Legends Of Tomorrow”

jonahlegends-165643ComicBook.com has reported that DC Comics’ old west anti-hero Jonah Hex will appear on the upcoming CW time-travel series Legends of Tomorrow. He will first appear in the show’s eleventh episode.

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim had this to say about bringing in Hex to the show.

“Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West, but if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.”

While Hex’s origin is that of a post-Civil War bounty hunter, he has had some time-travel adventures himself. In the DC Comics Universe, he found himself flung to the far future after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Jonah Hex was adapted into a 2010 film starring Josh Brolin. The character has been voiced in animated form by Adam Baldin and Thomas Jane. No word on who will portray the character for the CW.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow debuts Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Are you jazzed about having Jonah Hex show up in this series? What about the idea of using the time traveling aspect of the show to bring in other characters from other comic book properties who are scattered throughout time?
