Some Hard Questions Will Be Asked In Season 2 Of “Daredevil”

daredevil-season-2Things are beginning to really get exciting over at Netflix. Season two of the Marvel series Daredevil will soon be returning, and according to ComicBookResources.com, Marvel TV head honcho, Jeph Loeb, could not be happier due to the addition two major Marvel anti-heroes in the form of Punisher and Elektra.

Without giving anything away, Loeb explained what the addition of Jon Bernthal as Punisher and Elodie Yung as Elektra will do to the show.

“If you love season one, you’re going to love season two. What’s fantastic about the story is, is that it’s created this enormous division in his life. Because the woman that he once loved has returned, and she certainly has some issues with morality, and how you get the job done, and going on the other end of the spectrum is Frank Castle, who believes that justice needs to be served in a particular way.”

Loeb also praised both Bernthal and Yung.

“Jon Bernthal has succeeded in his quest. His Punisher is extraordinarily memorable, in every way, [and] you will fall in love with Elodie Yung as Elektra, and she will break your heart, because that’s what Elektra does to people,”

The influx of new characters will also highlight Matt Murdock’s moral quandaries.

“For Matt, who believes in the law, the question of whether or not he is a vigilante, and whether or not that makes him the same as these people, is something that will drive the story, and will drive Matt. And in his performance, Charlie Cox will really raise some hard questions: when you decide to put on a mask and go out and seek justice, and you are not somebody who the law sees as someone who should be doing that job, how do you get away with that?”

“Daredevil” returns to Netflix for its second season on March 18.

Does all sound good to you? Are you even more excited now for Daredevil this season, or do you find that actually pales to the Ben Affleck movie from 2003?
