For some time now it has been well known of the connection that Agent 13 aka Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) would have with Captain America. From the moment she showed up in his apartment in Winter Soldier, to when she stood up to H.Y.D.R.A., it was clear that she was in Steve Rogers’ camp. Now, with Captain America: Civil War about to be released, we learn that she will be taking a more “prominent” role.
While it has been confirmed that Sharon Carter is to appear in Civil War, ComicBookResources.com is reporting she will definitely be stepping up, and this is based on some of the latest promotional art that has been released by Marvel. VanCamp apparently did tease that there is be a fight scene between Carter and Scarlett Johansonn’s Black Widow, and she has stated that she will be steadfast in her support of Captain America throughout the film.
“That’s who she is within the universe,” VanCamp said. “I mean, she’s always had his back.”
Captain America: Civil War is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and is starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, and the film will be released in theaters on May 6, 2016.
