“Night of the Slasher” To Screen At SXSW

NOTSPosterFor you fans of horror, if you’re going to be in the vicinity of Austin, TX around March 11 – 19, 2016, then get yourself over to SXSW (South by South West), the big multi-media festival for music, movies, and interactive events, because horror film short Night of the Slasher has not only been selected to screen as part of the “Midnight Shorts” block, but it will also be screened three times if you’re unable to get enough of your “girl alone in a house” movie.

The short was written and directed by Shant Hamassian and is produced by Adam Lesar, and they are also pitching this short as a “proof-of-concept” in the hopes of turning it into a feature film.

Shant_HamassianSpeaking about the short, Hamassian said:

“For years, I kept running into closed doors, but now SXSW has opened a big one! But it’s not just a financial investment we are seeking, but an investment and trust in the vision and in myself.”

The movie is described as a ‘shot in one take’ film about a teenage girl who must commit horror movie sins in order to lure a masked killer so she can exact revenge. It stars Lily Berlina as the “Slasher Girl,” Scott Javore as “the Bait,” and Adam Lesar as “the Killer,” with music by Simon Michel. Press relations for the film, cast and crew are being handled by ChicArt Public Relations.
