“Marvel’s Most Wanted” is now Marvel No More

What started off as an exciting future for the Marvel TV franchise on the ABC network has been reduced to a barely a whimper with the announcement, although not entirely surprising, cancellation of Agent Carter, has spread out as the network decided to pass on Marvel’s Most Wanted which was to star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood, formerly of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The series was to deal with Palicki’s and Blood’s characters, Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse and Lance Hunter, now on the run after being framed for murder on Russian soil. They are no longer agents of the organization S.H.I.E.L.D. and they have no friends to speak of. The official synopsis was as follows:

Centers on Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune (Delroy Lindo), a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has held its own in the ratings and is scheduled to return for another season, but there is no word regarding the other proposed ABC Marvel series Damage Control.
