Warner Bros. and DC, showing no signs of slowing down as they pick themselves up after the fan and critical beating that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice received, are demonstrating an even greater confidence in their upcoming film Suicide Squad, and especially with the movie’s female lead, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, that The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Robbie will be getting her own movie.
Actually she’s getting more than just her own movie. THR is reporting that Robbie will do more than just reprise, but in a move similar to that of Ben Affleck, she’s being promoted to producer of this “not so solo” film.
Wait… She’s starring in her own, “not so solo” movie? Apparently so because the news item reports that a number of heroes and villains from the DC catalog will also be a part of this project, including the likes of Black Canary, Huntress, and Batgirl
Not much else is known at this time, except that the script writer is also a female and that Robbie has been wanting to see this movie come to pass.

Is this a good move on the part of Warner Bros., or should the studio sit back and wait until Suicide Squad comes out? Are they continually putting their eggs into too many baskets, or do they see potential where others do not?
