At the end of season three of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daisy Johnson, now known as Quake, is on the run after the tragic death of her boyfriend Lincoln Campbell.
Campbell’s death, combined with the after effects of Captain America: Civil War, will take the character down a much darker road in season four, as she told Entertainment Weekly. She first addressed her willingness to work with Hive again.
“The two people who know she did that are both dead, so no one else knows,” Chloe Bennet says. “There must be a moment coming up in the next season where she reveals that. I think she feels like she can’t get close to people because wherever she goes, death follows. That hit home with her, especially this time.”
She recently opened up a bit more about the events of the finale, saying the death “makes her more ruthless, being so close to what she thought was her own death. And then it happening in one of the worst scenarios she could ever think of, which is the person that she loved doing it for her, I think it changes her in a way where she probably will face life with even more ruthlessness.”
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for season four later this year.
How do you feel about this new direction for Daisy Johnson aka Quake? Would you rather see the series more closely mirroring what is in the Comic Books?
