“Daredevil”‘s Foggy Nelson to appear in “The Defenders”
While fans know very little about the upcoming series, it’s nice to hear another familiar face will be cropping up in The Defenders. Earlier this year, Jessica Jones’ Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) told fans that he’d be joining The Defenders in an unknown capacity.
As for Elden, the actor confirmed his appearance this past weekend at a convention, and fans were clearly stoked to learn of his casting. Foggy, of course, stands as one of Daredevil’s main characters as the sarcastic lawyers stands as Matthew Murdock’s best friend. While the series’ second season left the pair on rocky ground following The Punisher’s antics, Foggy is always looking after Matthew and his vigilante alter-ego. So, really, it’s not all that surprising for Foggy to show up in The Defenders. Surely, the blind hero is going to get into all kinds of trouble that Foggy will fret over. After all, the two’s bromance is the thing of fandom legend.
Currently, production on The Defenders is set to begin once Iron Fist has finished shooting. Filming began for the new solo series in April, and Iron Fist is scheduled for a 2017 release. With The Defenders aiming for a 2018 release, fans will have to wait to see Hell Kitchen’s all-stars team up against some mysterious threat, but fans will at least have Danny Rand to occupy their time. And that’s not even to mention Luke Cage is set to stream on Netflix beginning September 30th.

Do you like Foggy? Will he make for a good addition to The Defenders, or does he possibly take away from the main focus of the show? Is there anyone else that you would like to see appear alongside Foggy?
