According to a Reddit post, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige let it slip during a recent Doctor Strange screening that Giacchino, who created the music for Doctor Strange, would be returning to the MCU for Spider-Man: Homecoming. He then reportedly followed with: “We announced that right? I really hope we announced that.”
Giacchino has worked with Disney several times over the years, scoring many Disney and Pixar films. His most recent project was taking over the score of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story from Alexandre Desplat, who wasn’t available to score the film’s reshoots.
