Marvel’s “Inhumans” to contain extra footage for TV premiere

As the clock ticks down Marvel fans are getting closer and closer to seeing Marvel’s Inhumans in all their glory, and many of them are salivating for the opportunity to see it in IMAX (as so many of the recently released Marvel movies have been presented), but for those of you who can’t make it to an IMAX theater for whatever reason, fear not because you have your own special treat, and according to Marvel Television chief Jeph Loeb, that will be the addition of all new footage for its premiere on ABC.

While at Comic Con International in San Diego, Loeb did not elaborate on what the additional footage would entail, but he would confirm that it would be there.

What are your thoughts regarding Marvel adding new footage for the TV premiere? Is this an indication of “IMAX fatigue,” or does it signify something else in terms of initial audience reactions towards the trailers? Could it be that Marvel simply wants to magnify the bang for their buck by trying to lure fans to see both?
