New and Returning TV for April
Thursday is normally when we run our TV Thursday review articles but we don’t want to limit it to just what we have watched, we also want to share those we want to watch and what you want watch. So, with that in mind we present New and Returning TV for April. These are TV shows we know are returning soon because of a hiatus and some of those that are making their debut during April.
Here we go:
As of this publication, The Syfy show, The Expanse (IMDb) will have aired the Season 3 Episode 1 (04/11/2018). The Two Gay Geeks tried to start watching this but didn’t pick it up. Maybe we were too busy at the moment when it premiered or…..? To be fair, we didn’t give it our three episode litmus test so, maybe if we go back now? Let us know what you think of this show in the comments below. I know Andrea (and Duncan) like it and she may have a write up on it soon.

The highly anticipated reboot of Lost In Space (IMDb) is scheduled to release on Netflix Friday April 13th. We are hoping that date is not an ominous portent for the crew of the Jupiter 2. The Two Gay Geeks are old enough to remember the 1960’s Irwin Allen version of Lost in Space with the music by Johnny Williams so we will want to see what they have in store for us. We know there are significant changes as the science has been updated among other things. We will look objectively at this new concept.

Fear the Walking Dead (IMDb) returns for Season 4 on April 15th over on AMC. Let us know what you think since we have not found the right entry into Zombie culture.

Supergirl (IMDb) returns from a short hiatus on April 16th with Season 3 Episode 14. Supergirl is one of the CW’s line-up of Super Hero shows that is doing well.

April 23rd sees the return of AMC’s Into the Badlands (IMDb). Ro was at Wonder Con and had this article on the Into the Badlands Panel. Into the Badlands.

The CW show The 100 (IMDb) returns for Season 5 Episode 1. We don’t watch this CW show, apparently it is popular or it wouldn’t have a fifth season.

April 25th sees the return of the very popular Hulu series, The Handmaids Tale (IMDb). This series made quite the splash when it was released last year. Although we have not picked it up, yet, we have it on the bucket list to watch.

On Network television, ABC has Quantico (IMDb) returning for Season 3 Episode 1 on April 26th.

And lastly in April, also on network television, CBS launches the final (episodes) Season 6 of one of our favorite shows, Elementary (IMDb). We got into this on the second episode of Season 1 and liked it so much we have been purchasing the entire seasons on iTunes (we cut the cord years ago). We found the new look at the Sherlock Holmes mythos is refreshing with Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes and Lucy Liu as Watson.
