Spotlight Sunday – Our Contributors

The Two Gay Geeks want to spotlight several people that are near and dear to our hearts and frankly without whom we could not make this venture run. Our Contributors are the magic behind the scenes of this website. They are the lifeblood that keeps it fresh and exciting. So, just who are our Contributors? Let’s have a look:

TG Geeks Collaborators

First up, we have Rhonda Moore aka Ro. Ro came recommended to us from San Diego area where she has collaborated with numerous entities and has a network of folks to draw on.
She is a self avowed Blerd (for those who don’t know that is a Black Nerd) and voracious reader hence her title of Book Blerd. Ro writes about everything under the sun and has helped in shape the look of the site and daily content structure. And she also happens to provide us with advice in the areas of the law we might not otherwise understand.
A BIG Thank You to Ro.

Next, we have our friend Andrea Rittschof who came aboard because we knew her because of mutual friends.
Andrea has a passion for writing and loves to go see ANY movie with her husband Duncan. Of course, she writes those great reviews for the movies she goes to see. Look for those when a new movie is about to come out. She usually posts them as soon as the review embargo is lifted.
Andrea also loves to read and tell others about what she has just read. And don’t get us started on TV programs, she loves to watch sc-fi programs and has done several season wraps and Three Episode Thoughts (where you watch three episodes and tells what you think).
Thank you Andrea for all of your hard work.

Then there is the always amazing and effervescent Gini Koch. We have known Gini for quite some time and even form a previous podcast….

Gini as everyone should know is our author-in-residence, so to speak. She is the author of numerous book series, most notably, the Katherine “Kitty” Katt Alien series from DAW Books. But, that is not what she is writing for us. Gini has recently moved from Phoenix to Atlanta and has no friends… 😉 (hard to believe, I know). She and Steve, Mr. Gini Koch, have discovered the Turner Classic Movie channel and are wading their way through. So, we created a series on Wednesdays for her called “Old Classics?… Newly Reviewed”. And boy has she found some that the question mark certainly applies.
Gini has the distinction of having been our very first interview guest and also our most frequent guest on our show. Search for the episodes with Gini, you will not be disappointed especially the drinking episode…. oh my. Gini was in studio with us and we had several bottles of wine before we recorded and then I cooked dinner.
We love Gini to death and have a tremendous fun when we get to chat with her. We Thank her for the insight she brings to us and the occasional reprints of some of her musings.

And last, but not least, we have Hamish Downie, Our friend from Japan that we just happened to discover in the comments section of our site. We fond out he was a filmmaker and interviewed him about his work and career and he became a regular commenter. After a period of time of us covering his work and him commenting on our posts he had the brilliant idea to write a column about the goings on in Japan. And voila! We had News Sushi: Morsels of News From Japan and Beyond. I am not sure it was intended to go past several but here we are with (as of this writing) eleven installments and we have now dubbed it the World Famous News Susi.
Thank you Hamish for the insight into Japanese culture.

We may be having another one or two folks joining us down the road, stay tuned.

The above mentioned folks are the people that make our brand go and we thank each and everyone of them from the bottom of our hearts.

Here is our Contributor Page if you want to know more about them.

I am required by law to mention that I am not actually friendless here and do have some very GOOD friends here. Not a lot of them, and they’re busy people just like we are, so we’re all usually working and such rather than jet-setting about, but I DO have them, just not as many as I had in Arizona. Thanks for visiting. Let us know what you think.
