Director’s Statement
My primary goal as a filmmaker is to represent the voice and perspective of the new generation’s diverse youth and tell an inspiring story that explores universal themes to which audiences worldwide can connect and relate. I want to be the springboard for new perspectives, practices, models and ideas, which not only benefit the people involved in my projects but also inspire and empower the viewers.
I am interested in diversity… in characters, stories and styles. Similarly, I always think of the bigger picture when directing a film, from story inception to marketing & outreach strategies. For me, it’s all part of my storytelling process.
At Málaga, we are looking to complete our financing of Montréal Girls which consists of the remaining 20% of a 1,5MM budget. We are also looking for partners in Europe and the Middle East, as well as a sales agent and distribution company.
