The rapturous and enlightened coming-of-age drama delves into the topics of sexual fluidity and identity. This online release is intended to commemorate the International LGBTQ Pride Month happening in June each year.

About Morning After
Morning After is directed by Patricia Chica, written by Kristian Hodko and produced by Patricia Chica (Flirt Films) and Byron A. Martin (Byron A. Martin Productions). It’s a bold and playful drama that explores the subject of sexual fluidity, queer energy and human desire. This poignant and moving coming-of-age tale perfectly captures the challenges and tribulations of five friends who decide one night to explore their sexuality and realize that they may not fall within societies’ clean-cut lines.
Synopsis:
After a long time abroad, a young man returns home and reunites with friends. A sensual game amongst them forces him to confront deep conflicts within himself that lead to a powerful awakening.

The short has garnered over 30 awards and nominations so far including Grand Prize – Ambassador’s Award (Rhode Island), Indie Spirit Award (Idyllwild), Best Overall Short (FilmOut San Diego) and Best Director (Oaxaca, Magnolia, Studio City, Montreal) and been selected at over 80 film festivals around the world including (Festival de Cannes – Creative Minds Shorts Selection, Frameline, Pula International, Image + Nation, RVQC, Hong Kong LGBT, Taiwan Queer, Latino San Diego, Guadalajara in LA and many more).
“I wanted to speak about human connection, energy and sexual enlightenment from a fresh perspective other than the LGBTQ or heterosexual’s points of view. I wanted to make a film about desire and arousal that would go beyond the conventional physical realm… a deeper and perhaps more spiritual approach to sexuality, self-expression and self-acceptance. Morning After is intended to leave you feeling expanded,” says director Patricia Chica.
