The Two Gay Geeks 🏳️🌈 have a chat with Jocelynne Simone as well as Madame Askew. We chat about Jocelynne’s background and how she got into Steampunk clothing manufacture and then we discuss the birth of Madame Askew. It was a truly wonderful sit down with the two of them and of course we can’t forget the ministrations of Monsieur Gatteau aka Mr. Cake, the cat. Have a listen and we hope you enjoy this as much as we did.
About Madame Askew
Madame is a time traveling tea aficionado, obsessed with tea, fashion, and the proper uses for headgear. While she is often the center of tea inspired escapades, especially Tea Duelling and Splendid Teapot Racing, and a great advocate of Compliment Duelling, Madame loves nothing so much as meeting charming and talented individuals across time, throughout the universe, and in tea houses wherever she may appear. When Madame is not preoccupied with tea or training interns in the laboratory, she operates a small atelier where she creates fanciful and charming bespoke garments for ladies and gentlemen.
About Madame Askew’s Temporal Entourage
A chronicle of Madame Askew’s tea time adventures with her dearest companion, The Grand Aribter, an arsenal of her charming friends and delightful interns. Madame Askew and The Grand Arbiter are well known advocates for the fine sport of Tea Duelling, proponents for the joys of Splendid Teapot Racing, and Masters of the art of Compliment Duelling. Having traveled across time and space in order to find that perfect cup or to judge the most exciting tea duels, Madame claims that she simply cannot keep track of her age but she is most certainly not a day over 137. The Grand Arbiter, being a chaotic demi-god, claims he is quite beyond such mundane concerns as age.
Managing her tea table and her town her while she is away on her adventures is her butler, McMacktavisham, a dour, highly competent fellow who has never been known to crack a smile but can crack a scallywag on the head with a tea tray at a thousand paces.
