Editor Note:It is Friday and that means it is time for the World Famous, soon to be Intergalactic Famous, News Sushi from our very own, Hamish Downie. Hamish brings us a decidedly different slant on Pop Culture as viewed through the lens of a non-native living in Japan.

Thank you (ありがとうございました) Hamish, for your insights.

Happy New Year! 2020! It’s the Olympic Year here in Japan! What’s your new year’s resolutions?

The only thing I’m sure about is that I’m going to release my feature-length film this year! So, I hope you’ll all check it out when the time comes. It’s been a long process.

New Scary Endings Episode, “Monster Breath”!

There’s a new Scary Endings episode featuring Adam J Yeend, who has a small part in my upcoming feature. I hope you enjoy this little horror short.

What is it?
Max thinks there’s a monster under his bed and asks his Dad to check his room. Humouring Max, Dad goes to investigate and is about to find this is more than his son’s imagination. It has been written and directed by Brian Chandler and stars Miles Chandler, Adam J. Yeend (Brentwood Strangler), and Bianca DeGroat (The Retreat).

For those with the travel bug, there’s a new breakfast designed by Michelin-star chef Pierre Gagnaire at Club InterContinental Lounge. It starts at 16,000 yen (150 USD), so not for the faint of heart, but it is certainly nice to look at!
