Kabuki Stars Wars
It makes total sense, after all, Lucas took so much inspiration from Japanese culture and from Akira Kurosawa films to make his saga that it was a natural progression to turn the saga back into a Kabuki play.
It was a one night only adaption of the Kylo Ren story.

Kylo Ren isn’t the only movie property getting the Kabuki treatment, Hayao Miyazaki’s “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind” is being turned into a live-action kabuki play. Take a look at the rehearsal footage below:
I saw “Princess Mononoke” turned into a stage play some years ago in Shibuya now. It was wonderful. So, I’m looking forward to seeing more of these productions hit the stage.
