Editor Note: Hamish has another in his series of Five Questions With…
Hamish came up with this idea because he was accumulating too much material for his Famous News Sushi column and asked if he could do these mini-interviews. Why would we say no?
Thank you Hamish for being such a trooper for us. We really appreciate all for your hard work.
Let us know what you think of these interviews in the comments below.
TGG: Could you introduce yourself to our readers?
TK: Hi! My name is Tisa Key. I’m a Writer, Director, Producer, Author, Actor and Filmmaker.
TGG: Could you tell us about your book, “ TO DIE ALONE: The Suicide Chronicles?”
TK: It’s estimated that over 800,000 people die by suicide each year. That’s one person every 40 seconds. Around 65,000 people attempt suicide each year. While hundreds of thousands of people have suicidal thoughts. TO DIE ALONE: The Suicidal Chronicles gives you an inside look and a front row seat into the lives of several different individuals from all walks of life dealing with depression and contemplating suicide. Each story is inspired by true events with my own personal story and journey. These stories are raw gritty and makes one really take notice to the realities of suicide. This book is meant to give you insight about what someone is thinking and going through when having suicidal thoughts. As well as to uplift and empower you while having those thoughts. At the end of the book you’ll find positive affirmations, mantras and resources that can help you or someone you know going through these critical times. So even if you are having suicidal thoughts or know someone that is, information is available to you. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! YOU MATTER!
TGG: Recently, your web-series played at LFEST, which I thought was a highlight of the festival-possibly because I had an imaginary friend growing up. Could you tell us a bit about the web-series?
TK: “Where Is The Love?” Is my limited animated web-series which centers around the main character, Tisa (myself) as she navigates through her love life trying to find love after being dumped by her married girlfriend. All the while questioning, “Where Is The Love?” This web-series is loosely based off of my dating life throughout my years. The other main character is Cupid, who only I can see and hear. Cupid is like my subconscious mind in real time.
TGG: Cupid was my favourite character, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it. What’s next for you?
TK: Getting “Where Is The Love?,” picked up. It’s also a live action series. It actually never was supposed to be an animation. It started out as a live action series, but then COVID hit and I had to pivot and I turned it into a cartoon. I’m working on getting both the animation and live action series picked up. I also have several other projects in the works, one being a feature film love story between two women and dealing with cancer.
TGG: How can we best support you?
TK: You can support me by following me, commenting on my post and liking and sharing my posts as well. Just spreading the word about me and my projects and getting my name out there so I can do other amazing projects and investors/studios see that I have a following/audience for my projects.
