Recently, I saw a project that was right up our alley over on social-media-land, so I contacted the writer and he agreed to be interviewed about it!

Let’s hear from Michael himself about the project:
 

ML: Hello, my name is Michael Lamberti, I am an Actor, Writer, and Producer in Winter Park Florida. So far I have been winning awards for writing and acting skills. Also, I just recently signed with Professional Pretty Talent and Modeling Agency earlier this year.

TGG: Congratulations on signing with an agency! Could you tell us about your crowdfunding campaign?

ML: Of course! It’s run by a Nonprofit organization called From The Hearts Productions. They help indie filmmakers get their projects funded through their fiscal sponsorship program. In the program, they run their crowdfunding site called The We Did It Campaign. Since this crowd-funder is through their site. Every donation is classified as a tax write-off. In a way, it’s a win on both sides. I get to make the movie I always wanted to make. You can invest and get a tax deduction.

TGG: What are you most excited about with this project?

ML: The reason why I am very excited about this project is its theme is messaging. I never grew up with a dad. My mom took care of me for twenty-five years. She has sacrificed everything and has been supportive of my dreams from the very beginning. In many ways, it honors single parents, the themes of found family, and facing your fears. Even as an adult, we still have many fears to confront. Like what we want to do with our lives, maybe reaching out to an old friend or a family member we haven’t talked to in years due to a bad past. When writing it, one of my characters reminded me of my Uncle Mike. He in many ways was my father figure if my mom needed any help. I can’t thank them enough for making me the man I am today. Without them, this story, my passion, and my way of life would not exist.

TGG: Can you tell us about your favorite perk?

ML: For the campaign, my favorite perk would be the five hundred dollar perk. With that perk specifically it has two rewards and it gives everyone the chance to be competitive. For example, if you donate five hundred dollars you get an associate producer credit, tickets to the premiere, and meet the cast on zoom. But if you are the highest contributor, and donate more than five hundred dollars, you get an executive producer credit, meeting the cast on Zoom, tickets to the premiere, behind-the-scenes meetings, the tier three production book, and a private screening. To me, that’s worth it especially if you get a ton of rewards to see how this film was made from scratch. Including being able to meet the minds behind the creation of Kingdom City.

TGG: How can we best support you?

ML: The best way to support Kingdom City is by supporting the We Did It Campaign. Once again all donations are considered as a tax write-off. So please donate as much as you want.
